UniWake WinterJam

The first event of the 2012 season got underway this past weekend, and as to be expected the only ones crazy enough to get on the water in the first week of March would be the students. UniWake held their annual WinterJam at Princes Club for 2012, with around 70 entries in 7 categories there were plenty of riders on the water. We went down to represent and support the event with Mystic and Hyperlite as we always do with the UniWake events, providing prizes and more for the UniWake team alongside Relentless and others.

Also in attendance was Sarah Kingdom from the home of all things ladies wake boarding Wide-A-Wake, there to document how the ladies were getting on in their categories and offer encouragement to all the young shredders.

The conditions didn’t turn out too bad although for the early categories and the practise it was pretty rough with a lot of wind and temperatures that were bad enough for those watching never mind those riding, but once the sun came out things got a little better for the Mens and Womens A finals.
