These boys are pretty new to the WSW team, they are our latest signing to Mystic and Ronix and are now joining us with Muvi & No Proof No Glory, these boys are the best of the next generation of UK talent, ND and the guys better keeping looking over their shoulder because the Peacock Bros are coming for them.

Rumour has it MTV dropped the Soven Bros to film these boys… just sayin!

Lew is a past UK Pro Tour Champion and will once again be throwing it down on the world stage for 2013, aiming high for Nationals and further afield at major US competitions too.

He is heading out to Hipnotics in Turkey with fellow Muvi team member Ollie Moore, and his Hyperlite wingman Nicky D, so we should be seeing what they get up to very soon!

So welcome to the team again Lewis! Take a seat!

Okay so more about Jamie, instead of us writing a profile about him we made him sing for his supper and tell us about everything in his word, so here goes…

I now spend summers as an instructor with Ocean Elements in Vassiliki, western Greece, a windsurfing hotspot that is arguably the best-known European holiday destination for British windsurfers. When in the UK (largely over winter), I help run windsurfing clinics w, and also actively support a number of windsurfing festivals and competitions such as WindFest  and Aussie Kiss. Abroad, I compete at event locations such as Podersdorf, Austria and Fuerteventura

From day one of being on the team with us Lex has put on her trademark short shorts and done what she does best, rounding up as many ladies as she can and getting them on the water. Throughout the summer she is pushing riders old and new to step up their game and get to the next level through her “Girls Ride Only” events around the UK and will now be filming everything she does and we look forward to the edits!

We are well underway in building big things with our latest brands Veho, Muvi & No Proof No Glory, stock is hitting the shops, the hype is growing and now we have a team of athletes to introduce to the world.

Each day this week we will be announcing a new team member who will be shredding with their new Muvi action cameras and providing us edits and promo all season long, so keep an eye out for some killer footage.

First to be announced is the UKs top wakeskater Ollie Moore! He is new to Muvi and also new to the WSW team, so check out what he has to say about himself below.

Hey guys, im Ollie Moore, 20 years old, and live just north of Peterborough, I grew up on the water and a skateboard from around the age of 5. Started competing in 2009 when I entered my first wakeskate comp being the boat Nationals, surprisingly came out on top spot and this kick started my decision in progressing my skills on a wakeskate. Since then 2012 has been my most accomplished year so far with titles such as boat and cable National champ, boat European champ, Wakestock poolgap winner, 2nd at cable Europeans and 2nd at cable Worlds! For 2013 I am currently studying media at college and preparing for another season of events/comps and trips around the world. Im stoked to be joining the WSW family and representing Muvi cameras and being part of No Proof No Glory! Will have some new edits dropping soon so watch this space!

Action cameras are really starting to become a key part of each riders kit list, whether wind, wake or kite, filming the moves you are throwing down is now an absolute must!

And it is from there the No Proof No Glory idea is born! Coming soon in 2013 a whole new website with many levels of content, from the amateur shredders holiday edit, to the pro teams full scale films and with the same ethos! If you dont capture it on camera then it doesnt count! No Proof… No Glory!

Okay on to the event itself, King Of Cable was missing from the calendar in 2011 for various reasons, but with the support of Mystic and Hyperlite it returned for 2012. To mix things up a little bit, and perhaps handicap some of the riders a huge Mystic Pre-Party was thrown, fancy dress, laser lights, a banging DJ and copious amount of alcohol fuelled the party into the very early hours of Sunday morning.

The U16s kicked things off with their usual display of unbelievable riding that leaves you questioning if they can do this ages 11 or 12 then what kind of tricks will they be busting out by the time they clear their teens. Liam Peacock landed his first double S in practise, so we guess its only a matter of time before one of these young guns lands the first triple or Mobe 7 and the like. Watching these guys ride shows just what up and coming talent the UK has, so if wakeboarding does become an Olympic sport the rest of the world better watch out, the Brits are coming!

Novice category was next up, as always well attended, many of the riders taking to the water in an attempt to shake the hangover but still some busting down serious moves, we saw kicker 5s, technical presses and 7s on the flat bars etc. So novice doesnt really mean novice these days it seems.

The next category of interest is always the kneeboard jam, we saw things that shouldnt even be attempted on a kneeboard nevermind landed! 3s off the kicker, lipsliding the rooftop, full clean hits of the rainbow and Deano Warboys hitting the wall ride! Crazy stuff!

The Pros were next up, Ladies first as is the courtesy and of course to give the boys chance to get their head in the game, Tor and Chloe made it through from the ladies to their Queen final, despite Laura Christian throwing Blind Judge as her wildcard but taking a mean back edge. Edges were the order of the day it seemed with Tor taking a nice one on her Mobe attempt with Cain and others joining the club later in the day. In the Queen final Tor took the crown, beating Chloe into second place, both with stand up runs. So Victoria was once again Queen of Cable, representing for Mystic and Hyperlite.

Next up stepped the Pro men, 2 heats of 6 needed to be whittled down to a final of 6. With riders like Cain Hamilton, Lew Cornwall, James Young, Dec Clifford, Jack Battleday, Jonty Green and more you get the idea of the quality of the competition. It seemed Mobe was trick of choice, with most of the top riders throwing down Mobe 5 or S-Mobe mixed into to their run. After a close final, Cain took 3rd, with Connor Jones in 2nd and Lew taking the win. But it was not finished there, Lew and Connor took to the mens super final, with the winners from all the other categories to decide who earned the title of King of Cable. Now you may think the Pros have this in the bag, which is how it usually turns out, but they have one run, so if Lew or Connor make a mistake fighting amongst each other, you could end up with a Novice or Masters rider winning. But on this occasion no apple carts were upset, it was a straight fight between Lew and Connor, which Lew won and took to the podium alongside Tor as King of Cable.

So there you have it, what seems to be the last King of Cable is over, and i guess Lew and Tor will forever be King and Queen of cable. Surely thats enough of a reason alone for a buyer to be found and the cable re-open! Just to stop the power going to their heads!

For all of you Princes fans, or anyone that hasnt ridden the place yet, make sure you get down there for the final cable weekend on the 20th and 21st of October to help give the place the send off it deserves. The place has been the home of so many champions, James and Tor Young, Nick Davies, Lew Cornwall, Cain Hamilton and thats just the recent talent.

Otherwise we guess all that is left to say is goodbye Princes old friend, its been emotional!

Currently on the team across boat and cable in open and junior divisions we have 5 gold medals, and 3 silvers! A massive haul that right now the Olympic GB Team would be extremely happy to have to their name.

Starting at the beginning, Dan Nott and Sam Carne took 1st and 2nd respectively at Open Boat Nationals! Last year it was Sam’s title but this year Dan struck back down at the Quays in what was a very tight contest pulled behind the WSW 2012 Mastercraft X2! Then Wakestock came around, and once again Dan was at home behind the X2 and brought home his 5th Wakestock title!

Then on to Junior Boat Nationals, once again behind the WSW X2, Laura Christian took home the girls title, showing that all her training down at the Quays had paid off over the last few months!

And this weekend the season of National competitions came to an end with the Cable Nationals down at JB Ski! And boy did the team finish in style! Laura Christian lead the team out in the girls category, once again grabbing gold, to add to her boat title, making her officially unbeatable in her age group in any discipline!  And to add to this, we would live to give her an extra shout out, she also recently won gold in her age group at the Cable Ski Nationals (8th at Europeans too) at Liquid Leisure. So well done Laura! Not just champion in 2 wake disciplines but also in slalom skiing too! Think you might need a bigger trophy room soon!

The next medal at Nationals came to the youngest member of our team in the Mini Boys category, Joe Ellis took Silver, and was pretty close to Gold! Next year we are sure it will come!

Cain Hamilton was next out in the Jnr Men category, after qualifying first on the Saturday, he went into the final favourite and did not disappoint, he had won the title in his first run, and so went out to enjoy himself in his 2nd run with no pressure he showed the crowds what he could do and they lapped it up! So we were half way through the event with 2 champions and a close 2nd! Now it was the turn of the big guns to represent!

Next to represent Team WSW was Tor Young, who had already impressed in qualification on the Saturday. Seeded 3rd originally, she beat last years National Champion Steph Caller in qualifying to earn herself the advantage of being 3rd out on the water out of the 4 riders in the finals! In the finals she did not disappoint! Throwing down a solid 1st run to put herself in 2nd place, and showing off her style by claiming a straight air to finish her run , she knew she had done enough we think ! Steph came close in her next run but could not beat Tor score, and so Silver was no in the bag! All that was left was to go and try to take down current World Champion Kirsteen Mitchell! Tor improved her score, and landed every trick super clean in a stand up run! But it was just not enough to take down Kirsteen! So Tor took Silver, but is of course looking to the Worlds later in the year to hit back at Kirsteen! We know she will do us proud again!

Last up for the WSW team were Nick Davies and Lew Cornwall! These boys had already tasted glory with Cain the night before in the Pro Comp, Nick took 1st place, Lew 3rd and Cain 4th, so they were pumped and ready to go. With both Lew and ND qualifying top in their heats!

Lew was out just before Nick, landing a super clean run, technical air tricks and both backside and frontside 7′s off the kickers! However due to the judging being 60% rail, and 40% air trick based, some impressive rail hits from James Young and Dec Clifford had earn them stops above Lew which over two runs he didn’t manage to equal! A great effort from Lew, throwing it down and putting some serious pressure on the boys above him, but just was not enough this time and so the UK Pro Tour champion had to settle for 4th, just off the podium!

And so it was down to the WSW Team talisman, Mr Nicholas Davies! Now after a very poor effort of showing off his karaoke skills on the dock, ND took to the water with one thing on this mind, take the National title! He was last out after being top qualifier and so knew exactly what he had to beat, and beat it he did, a combination of huge air tricks and technical rail riding put him top of the leader board! Dec came close to his score with his second run but it was not quite enough! So Nicky D left the dock for his second run knowing the title was his, so the pressure was off and now its time to look towards retaining his World title!

A massive weekend, to round up a huge month for the team! We would like to extend our congratulations to everyone one of the team members! You have all done us proud once again for 2012! And going forward we wish you all luck for the Europeans and Worlds to come later in the year! Whether its Hyperlite, Ronix, CWB or Mystic, you have done an awesome job representing your brands!

Undoubtably the best team in the UK! Boom!!

Wakestock always comes and smashes right into the middle of your summer, it might be wet, it might be muddy or you might even see some sun, but the one thing thats guaranteed each and every year is it will be a memorable weekend!

2012 was no exception, we were there in force as always supporting the event with Hyperlite and Mystic at both the marina and the pool gap and then with the return of the Mystic Big Air to Abersoch Beach on the Sunday afternoon.

We have a few cheeky shots to share we with you all, most of them have to be kept top secret from the 2013 Mystic photoshoot but we also took a few of the rest of our team on the pool gap.
