So we figured introducing our new Muvi Action Camera team with photos and words was just not enough, this is a team ready to produce some killer videos and edits for 2013 so its only fair we introduce them in the same way!

This is just a taster of what our new team can do, there will be so much more to come from these guys.

Mystic’s New Featherlite Neoprene!

Mystic have launched an all new neoprene, its lighter, more flexible, warmer and retains less water. Everything you could ever want from a wetsuit and all explained by World Champion Youri Zoon in the video here.

The Featherlite neoprene has 3 main layers.

Layer 1 – MFlex – giving the suit the ultimate stretch

Layer 2 – ISOPrene mesh – keeping the heat in the suit

Layer 3 – Teddyprene – generates the warmth and gives the suit amazing comfort.

The new neoprene is featured on all the new models for the 2012 range, including Voltage, Lightning, Empire and many more.

European Championships 2012 – Another Champion!

Well we are a little late posting this up, and by now everyone will be aware that Sam Carne is the European Boat Champion! Team GB headed out to South Africa for the 2012 Boat Championships with Sam leading the team as El Capitan, so no pressure at all then on him to take home the Gold! Through the qualifiers and then into the final Sam killed it, ending up a clear winner with the 2nd place rider nearly 10 points behind! So 2012 has started just as 2011 ended for Sam, with him owning the podium once again, and with this form everyone else on the boat scene better watch out for the 2012 season.

Also riding for Team GB out in South Africa was the latest addition to our team, Nancy Creedy. Shredding on her new 2012 CWB set up Nancy brought home silver in the junior ladies category, coming very close to the Gold only losing out to fellow Team GB rider Charlotte Millward so not all bad, maybe next time! Hopefully starting off an epic year for our young team member.

Nice work guys, another great haul of medals for Team WSW!

London Boat Show Talk – ND on Hyperlite

Each day at the London Boat Show a different brand and their riders talked to Tim from Industry Wake Parks and the crowd about their new range for 2012. Without a doubt one of the most popular ones was the Hyperlite talk lead by Nick Davies, as always he added his unique personality to the chat with his wingman Lewis Cornwall.

Jamie Drummond

If ever we needed proof that all the best deals are done over a beer Jamie is that proof. We bet Jamie purely by chance at the London Boat Show 2012, got chatting at the bar and discovered he was ranked #5 in the UK and #15 in Europe for freestyle windsurfing! After a couple more beers and getting to know Jamie a little more it didn’t take long to sign him up and make him a Mystic Warrior on our ever growing windsurf team.

Okay so more about Jamie, instead of us writing a profile about him we made him sing for his supper and tell us about everything in his word, so here goes…

I now spend summers as an instructor with Ocean Elements in Vassiliki, western Greece, a windsurfing hotspot that is arguably the best-known European holiday destination for British windsurfers. When in the UK (largely over winter), I help run windsurfing clinics w, and also actively support a number of windsurfing festivals and competitions such as WindFest and Aussie Kiss. Abroad, I compete at event locations such as Podersdorf, Austria and Fuerteventura

In early February I fly to Cape Town to train in freestyle and wavesailing. I will then travel to Tarifa and train there for all of March before heading to Greece to open the Ocean Elements centre for the summer.

Jamies will be rocking the 2012 Mystic Treasure Elite harness, Lightning 5/4 Winter suit and Crossfire 3/2 Summer suits as well as all the usual Mystic accessories.

Nancy Creedy

Our first new signing to the team for 2012 is Nancy Creedy who will be shredding CWB for us from now on as well as repping the Mystic suits! We hooked up with Nancy down at the London Boat Show for a chat, and 10 minutes later she is on the team, adding yet another talented lady to our books. She has been on the scene for a good few years now, being National Girls Champion in 20090 on the boat, for 2009 she helped Team GB go for Gold at the Europeans. More recently she has been ranked as Ladies #2 on the boat for 2010 and 2011 so this girl really has some talent!

As for her board bag for 2012 she will be killing it on the CWB Sapphire with CWB Ember boots, i really sick looking set up that we are sure will be photographer with her on many a podium once again! As for the Mystic kit she will be rocking the new 2012 Hypnotise suits with 2012 Star vest!

All that is left to say is welcome to the team Nancy, we are looking forward to owning the ladies scene in 2012 even more with you onboard, we now have ladies boat #1 and #2 on the team with you and Jules. So bring on next season!

Cain Hamilton

Cain is the latest addition to our team of Mystic Wake Warriors, he joined the team in summer 2011 and has been ripping hard ever since. He is shredding his Ronix set up hard and has had some sick results for 2011, taking 3rd in the UK Pro Tour and just getting pipped to 2nd in the Cable Nationals as well as competing with Team GB at the Europeans in Serbia. He is part of the Princes crew with Tor, Lew and Nick spending pretty much all their time smashing it on the cable.

Big things to come from Cain for 2012, hopefully going one better and grabbing the Nationals title as well as shredding at Wakestock on the Pool Gap and the Mystic Photoshoot once more!
