So our favourite event rolled back into town this past weekend, Red Bull Harbour Reach was back!

This is the 5th year the event has been on the calendar and we have been in support with Mystic from the very start, we started off in Lyme Regis and now we were in Liverpool once again for what is quite simply the most extreme and challenging competition wakeboard event of the year.

This year the it was the only Red Bull International wakeboard event, so they pulled out the stops to make it something special. There is nothing standard on this course, all custom made features and all of them extremely gnarly!

25 of the worlds top riders took to the course, including 2 qualifiers, our friend Owen Pick who incredibly is a below the knee amputee and yet is throwing it down on a stage with the world best and North Devon Wake Park rider Jack Constable who has only been on the water just over a year.

The riding was at an incredible level for the full event, one wrong turn can put you in hospital as Scotty Broome found out on the Mystic transfer rail! The final was a hard fight between Dom Hernler and Daniel Grant, two riders who were clearly on top of their game and how Parks Bonifay and the rest of judges split them apart, it must have been super tough!

For us, Dom's style probably just edged it, the grabs he holds quite literally for days, and the unique lines on each obstacles meant that he became champion of Red Bull Harbour Reach, and remains unbeaten in 2015, and hopefully on course to be voted the Rail Rider Of The Year at Expo in a few weeks.

Harbour Reach is an event beyond all others, a course dreamed up by riders in the unique setting of Liverpool's Albert Dock, and we hope that it will be back for 2016, powered by Mystic once again.
